and telephone number 01905 768053 was very quickly set up to provide
a safety net for those who require help or wish to volunteer. It was
initially supported by the Public Health Department and we have now
increased support, with more than 40 library staff having been
redeployed to it. The telephone service is available from 8am to 8pm
every day including weekends and seeks to match requests for help with
volunteers, and where necessary connect people with professional
support e.g. social care services.
We are now exploring how we can realise the full potential of

Based in Wichenford, and is totally operated by volunteers, providing day care facilities two day per week for isolated and lonely persons living in 21 surrounding villages.
The Members enjoy painting classes, Extend exercise classes, talks, bingo sessions, etc. Most important however is the opportunity to socially interact with others, including the volunteer drivers and helpers. For more information contact: 01886 888374
